23 Mobile Things-Thing 16 Audio

I started with iPadio.  It didn't get great reviews, but it worked for me.  I did have to register and go online to complete the account to find the embed code.  I made this short and impromptu recording with my mom.

What I find the most interesting and bizarre is that in less than five minutes some stranger had commented.  I guess that's the feedback they are talking about when the way of the future is having students get their work "out there".  I understand the whole concept, but I have such a sense of privacy or something.  All that being said, I think this could be another to add to a bag of tricks as we get students to create more content.
Audioboo appears to have extended its time limit to 10 minutes.  Three minutes can fly by, but ten minutes seems like a good limit to keep it concise yet not get cut off.  Again, this could be used as a way for students to create content.  We have been using Educreations to work on book reviews... but this audio only could be another option.  Especially if we could create QR codes to add to the book and with the link, it appear that we can.  audioboo.fm/boos/2071416
I also downloaded SoundCloud and plan to give it a try as well.  The time limit may be less desirable as a school account unless each student had an account.  I think we have some discussions ahead about how much information students provide when using apps.  This is a part of the tech roll out that hasn't been fully addressed yet along with a structured curriculum addressing digital citizenship.  As long as I've mentioned this, I'll plug Common Sense Media that has a wealth of information.
