Nine ways I can do without... I enjoy living in the "real world".
Do I have to say it again... I'm a fairly private person. It seems to self important to be promoting yourself on the web... in this case via Tweet. I am in Stage 2 Presence on Twitter. I don't have a lot of friends that I know of on Twitter, and I don't plan on highjacking them as one link suggested, even providing the hack tool to do it. I can see where it would be fun to chat with someone you know and/or meet on Twitter, but I can also do that on Facebook where more of my friends are represented.
It is nice to have these tools to communicate with someone without interupting their current activity with a phone call, but again, for my purposes... email or Facebook would also do the trick. And I get all signed up and then read an article questioning Twitter's security. That's all I needed.
I think Twitter is a one hit wonder that is another way to eat up time online. I also acknowledge those that had no time for Twitter and are now hooked. Maybe it will become a community for me. I did find a few people to follow, so I will still give Twitter a chance to grow on me.
