Once upon a time, I had a Del.icio.us account. I was very excited about it because I work on several different computers at several different sites. I had been looking for a way to organize interesting and useful websites. Well, I let it slide and can't remember how I set it up. So, my new good intentions for Del.icio.us is to start by bookmarking some of the 23 Things and uploading some of my favorites from the various computers I work on. I believe this was an option, although I haven't found it again, yet. The trick will be to tag and categorize right from the start. I'm actually kind of glad the old account is lost.
As far as applications in the school library, I can see making project specific tags that others with Del.icio.us accounts can access. As a result of the wiki Thing, I listened to a podcast that inspired me to teach students and teachers to personalize their own portal. Del.icio.us could initially be that portal, but eventually, and I have to learn more about this, could be a link from that portal.
