Flickr looks like a fun interesting way to save and organize photos. I also like the added benefit of having them securely saved on another server in case of "disaster".
The application of introducing new materials with added "clickable" details looked interesting, but also very time consuming.
I can see the value of publicity drawing patrons into a library or informing parents and community what kinds of things go on in the library. One could create a group and use it as a slideshow type of presentation tour of the library. The "clickable" details could explain each area and how it is used
I had to walk away while my few pictures loaded. It still took time after installing the Uploadr, and I realize I could have kept working. I guess we are really spoiled by the instantaneous nature of the internet.
I would be more likely to keep my personal photos private or by invitation. Library or school related photos that I would want to share broadly could be marked public.
